Just a few days before the next edition of the Ibiza JoySail Superyacht Regatta kicks off, STP Shipyard Palma is once again a hub of activity for the superyacht fleet taking part in the race.
Of the twenty-two yachts that will be competing off the coast of Ibiza and Formentera from 18 September onwards, a total of fourteen have chosen STP over the course of 2025 for refit & repair jobs, services or pre-race preparations.
Prominent names such as All Smoke, Ammonite, Aurelius, Cervo, Esense, Ganesha, Gelliceaux, Jasi, Kiboko IV, L’Hippocampe, Liberty Squared, Nostromo, Open Season and Viento have spent time at STP this year. In fact, Viento was recently hoisted out onto the hard for some fine-tuning before heading to the race.
Many of these superyachts are repeat customers of STP, coming back every year thanks to the reliability of the yard's professional team. What's more, its open yard model – like no other in the Mediterranean – means that owners and captains to freely choose from a whole host of specialised companies (with more than seven hundred companies at the last count) to have any type of work done, an aspect highly valued by yacht owners because it saves them time and costs.
Thanks to the state-of-the-art infrastructure and the extensive network of companies operating at the facility, STP is selected by a great deal of the international fleet to prepare for the season and – in this case – to compete in one of the Mediterranean's most exclusive races.
"The fact that more than half of the Ibiza JoySail 2025 fleet has passed through our facilities shows the confidence that superyachts have in STP and its professionals. We're proud to help these teams in their preparations and to add our bit to the success of a race that is already an international benchmark", says Joan Roselló, Manager of STP Shipyard Palma.
With the fleet present at its facility, STP Shipyard Palma has confirmed its role as a leading refit yard in the Mediterranean and as organiser of Ibiza JoySail, where innovation, specialisation and serviceability are on hand for the world's most prestigious superyachts.
