Mondango, the latest yacht over 50 metres to exit STP

Sailing yacht Mondango has just been relaunched following a winter-long major refit. She's the second yacht of over 40m LOA to have been relaunched at STP in recent months. The work mainly comprised painting the hull and superstructure, changing the teak of the deck, painting the masts and rebuilding the rig, amongst others.

Today, as planned, the masts were re-stepped. From now on the refit, under the direction of Varadero Palma (Palma Boatyard), is continuing on the water, and she will be ready to sail very soon.

Besides refit managers Varadero Palma, many other businesses have been involved: Servicios Náuticos Integrados, RSB Rigging Solutions, Undercover, Finanzauto, Hydraulic Services Mallorca, North Sails Superyacht Service and Teak’n’ti, all of them operating out of STP.

This 52m-LOA, 10.2m-beam ketch, designed by Dubois Naval Architects and built by Alloy Yachts, accommodates 10 crew members in cabins plus a further 10 persons in comfortable suites lined with English light oak, with furniture of Macassar ebony and rugs of wool and silk. A fabulously luxurious sailing yacht which is almost at the point where she can put out to sea.
