Marina Ibiza takes the wraps off an original mobile sculpture on its central boulevard

Yesterday Marina Ibiza set in place a sculpture by German artist Gerhard Höhn. From now on, this original mobile sculpture will be a feature of Marina Ibiza's central parade, attracting the public's attention by its elegant, soundless mobility.

Höhn, a multi-disciplinary artist, has lived in Ibiza since 2008. After making a name for himself in Germany, he decided to move to the island and focus on sculpture, creating spectacular kinetic light-and-cement pieces. During the intervening years he has successfully specialized in abstract moving pieces of this kind, to which he currently devotes the greatest part of his artistic endeavours.

The mobile, three metres high, is in his own words a personal artistic statement that seeks to evoke in the spectator an emotional and aesthetic feeling.

Once again, Marina Ibiza shows a predilection for art and culture and wishes to support the sector with this initiative, in addition to its gallery in the pop-up stores under the aegis of Ibiza Art Guide.
